Starting your First Project

In this article, you will learn how to create your first project. When creating a new project, there are three important steps to remember.


Add your First Project

The first step in creating a new project is to add it to your RForm account which requires confirmation before you can specify the project details.

  1. Ensure that you are logged in to your RForm account.
  2. By default, you will be directed to the Dashboard. Click the Add Project button.
  3. You will be directed to the Confirmation page. Click Add project to continue.

  4. You will be directed to the New project page.

Specifying Project Details

This step requires you to update/specify the project details including basic project information to advance settings and communication templates.

  1. After adding your first project, you will be directed to the New project page. On this page, you can access and view the following tabs:
    • Project Summary
    • Project Forms
    • Project Files
    • Submittals
    • Site Reports
    • Project Team

  2. By default, the Project Summary tab is active when accessing projects. Find and click the Edit project details button.

  3. You will be directed to the Enter Your Project Details page. In the Project Name and Project panel,  information:
    1. Project Name and Project Number
    2. Single Project's Logo
    3. Project Location
    4. Contract Time & Initial Contract Price
    5. Holdback %
    6. Signatures
    7. Your Terms and Conditions

  4. After specifying the project details, click the Save Project button to apply the changes.

Add Project Team

This step lets you add team members to your project.

  1. After adding a new project and specifying its details, you can add your team members by clicking the Project Team tab.

  2. Find the appropriate role of the team member that you want to add, and click its Add link beside the Role/Title:
    • Prime Consultant
    • Contractors
    • Owners
    • Consultants
  3. In this example, we will use the Prime Consultant. The CHOOSE PRIME CONSULTANTS window will appear, find the prime consultant, and select its Checkbox.



    • Note: if you cannot find the contact, you can use the Add new Contact link to create a new one, contact customer care, or use the Invite another RForm User link. It is important to note that the Invite another RForm User link is to streamline onboarding for users who already have RForm accounts at other firms. This option spares them from creating new logins and automatically imports their contact information (this will require confirmation). For access, use your RForm account URL.
  4. After adding the project team member(s) click the Save button to apply the changes.
  5. The Send Email Invitation window will appear. Find the contact from the list and select its Checkbox.



  6. In the Message field, enter a brief invitation message.
  7. Review the invitation and select your preferred action by clicking the appropriate option:
    • Send invitation Later
    • Send Invitation Now


Alternatively, you can use the Send Invitation button to send Project Team Member invitation.
